Eyebrows

Eyebrows can make or break your face. Period. Your eyebrows are a great first place to start with giving yourself a mini makeover and nice lift. Maintenance is the key. I am absolutely guilty to over-tweezing and the hardest thing to do for me is to let them grow back and not touch them while they are growing in all sorts of crazy places- however it is very important to let them grow back to their natural arch before you start tweezing away again.
The first thing I do when I have an appointment with a client is look at their brows. If I have to tweeze, I tweeze (sad when a tear starts falling down the side of their face), or if I have to fill in the sparse areas, I also do that. It's a vital step in the makeup process.

  • Below is classic example of over- tweezing and not letting your brows be the length they should. Yikes:

  • This is a GOOD example of the way your brow should be in dimension with your face:

8 Eye Tips

1. Get beauty sleep. Lack of shut eye can exaggerate dark circles, bags, and puffiness. Set an example for your kids by sticking to your bedtime.

2. Moisturize your eyes. Applying eye cream helps concealer stay put.

3. Pluck to perfection. Use the minute or two it takes for your cream to absorb to shape your browse.

4. Add some brow wow. When your brows are well-defined, your eyes instantly look more awake. Fill in sparse spots with a pencil THAT MATCHES the color of your brows (very important that it matches). Then after add a touch of lighter pigment highlighting cream to your brown bones.

5. Disguise dark areas. Blend concealer under your eyes and on your lids, since you can get dark discoloration there too.

6. Light up your lids. Eyeshadow with shimmer instantly adds brightness. Don't be afraid to use color!!

7. Squeeze please. You have to see it to believe it, but using a lash curler makes a big difference.

8.Brush on mascara. Your look isn't complete without it.
